Richard Ramirez - Distant, Fading LP

Harsh/industrial noise artist Richard Ramirez has been at the forefront of the noise scene since 1989, when he formed the seminal Black Leather Jesus in Houston, TX. Richard has released hundreds of releases under the BLJ moniker and other aliases, collaborated with artists such as Merzbow, Thurston Moore, and Justin Broadrick (Godflesh/Jesu/Final/et al.), released recordings on his Deadline Recordings label, and has even started the Mad Recital avant-garde/conceptual fashion label.

Despite being synonymous with harsh noise, Richard has never been shy about voicing his love for the noise pop, shoegaze, dream pop, and various other layered, guitar-driven sounds of the 80s/90s. With this is mind, Tall Texan asked Richard if he would be interested in creating a record paying homage to these sounds, and much to our delight, Richard accepted the offer.

'Distant, Fading' is a huge departure from most of Richard's previous releases, and is downright delicate compared to much of his catalog.
