Originally meant to be released as the first AFC album on the 7" format in 1995/1996, this collection of songs based on the mythic Phoenix never saw release as the label ran out of funds.

A few of the tracks from the intended 7" album and same sessions eventually ended up on early AFC releases like The Planes of Alluvial, Thorny Path, and The Beggars Garden, but most have never seen release.

This LP collects the original 7" album tracks, recordings from the same session that have never been released, and three tracks of unknown recording date (though most certainly from the 2000s) that are part of the Phoenix cycle.
